Tarry A While Resort is a magical place that allows guests to relax and unwind or enjoy a multitude of fun activities. It’s a place where summer dreams come alive and fond memories are forged for a lifetime. All of our amenities are there for your enjoyment. At the waterfront, relax in one of our many comfortable chaise loungers or Adirondack chairs as the kids build a sand castle. Go swimming, canoeing, kayaking or even try your skills at paddle boarding.

Our Social Hall has a ping pong table, pool table, floor shuffleboard, a piano, lounge chairs and numerous board games and puzzles to while away the hours. If badminton or croquet are your preferred lawn games, well, we have those, too. In the evenings, stoke the fire in the fire pit and test your abilities to make the perfect s’more or if you feel daring, go skinny dipping in the moonlight.

Locally, take in a movie at Bridgton’s Magic Lantern or Twin Drive-In Movie Theater or go treasure hunting through the many antique shops and galleries in downtown. Bridgton Highlands Country Club is literally across the road and offers an 18 hole course and several tennis courts to test your skills. If taking in Maine’s scenic vistas is on your travel itinerary, we are truly a geographical oddity, as we’re only an hour from the coast or the mountains. Come and see the ruggedness of the Maine coastline, or climb Pleasant Mountain or Mt. Washington and then come home to enjoy a cocktail and enjoy our spectacular sunsets.

Plan to stay on Friday evenings as we host a weekly lobster bake on our waterfront from 5:30 pm to sunset with all the traditional fixings of a Maine Lobster Bake. So get crackin’ and plan to visit us next summer at Tarry A While!
